O & E update [Dec. 12th, 2007|10:21 pm]
Preserving Thamiris' LJ and memory

[Current Mood |pleasedpleased]

simplelyric has been engaged in efforts to have Thamiris' Odysseys and Ecstasy site transferred to our control. It looks as though success is in the near future; stay tuned for details as progress is made.

Question for community members, and particularly donors to the tham_preserved campaign: how do you guys feel about a Tribute page being added to the website (for various reasons we decided against trying to include one on her (permanent) LJ). We'd like to hear your opinions, though we can't absolutely guarantee at this point that it will happen. This would be a page where friends and fans can post memories, etc.

Thanks to all of you for your continued interest and support.

Sounds like a good idea to me (speaking as a donor). Do you know who would be maintaining it? That'd be a certain amount of work.

It's a little complicated to explain without all the specifics having been resolved yet, but we have someone who offered to help transfer and maintain O&E itself. She initially proposed to Alison and I the idea of adding the tribute page, so I imagine that she would be up for the task of maintaining the tribute page, too. If someone else wants to volunteer, though, we could try to coordinate a team effort.

I do want to reiterate here that Alison and I also still encourage anyone who'd like to do so to post tributes, thoughts about/memories of Tham, links to such things on their own journals, etc. to this community itself as well. We've already requested that our person referenced above add a link to the community onto O&E, so, anyone who visits the site would be able to find their way here. And we're all here because we cared about her and want to remember her.

Thank you for posting this, Alison! (The last couple days have been crazy, and the next several will probably be more so.)

No problem! I forgot about doing it for a couple of days due to similar craziness here. Sorry about that!

I think the Tribute page on her website is a very good idea. Thanks for all your efforts!

Hi, I've only just found out about this community and just wanted to chime in that if you are having any issues in the future about finding hosting space for Tham's site - or even just want a back-up/mirror location for it - I'd be more than happy to provide space myself under my sockiipress.org domain (or if you need space to park your own domain for it, I can do that as well). I have plenty of space to burn under my hosting plan and was a friend of Tham's from her Hercules/Xena days. I'm really glad to see there are efforts underway to make sure her contributions to fandom aren't lost.) Just let me know.
